What ages get to attend?

New Life Kids At The Movies is in all areas of NL Kids!

Early Childhood (0 yrs – Kindergarten)
Elementary (1st – 5th)
Preteen (6th)

What Will my kids be learning?

Each week kids will learn important lessons of faith while watching clips from Chronicles of Narnia. They’ll learn how Aslan (like Jesus) shows us love by saving us, how God fights our battles just like Aslan does, why it’s important to follow God’s way, and how God helps us say no to things that aren’t good for us. They will learn how much Jesus loves them and guides them in our everyday lives.

Week 1: God Saves Me

In Narnia, Aslan represents Jesus, who shows his love by sacrificing himself to save others. Kids will learn how Aslan’s sacrifice mirrors Jesus dying on the cross to save us from our sins. We will learn what it means to be forgiven and loved unconditionally.
Romans 5:8 “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

Week 2: God Fights for Me

Just as Aslan defends Narnia from evil, God fights our battles. We will learn how God leads and protects us in our lives. God is always with us, ready to help us face any difficulties.
Exodus 14:14 “The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

Week 3: God Leads Me

In Narnia, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy learn the importance of following Aslan’s guidance. We will learn why it’s important to trust God’s plan and not ourselves. God’s plan is always better!
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Week 4: God Strengthens Me

In Narnia, they face temptations that test their courage and faith. We will learn how God gives us strength to resist temptations and make good choices.
James 4:7-8 “Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God, and God will come near to you…”

What's At the movies
all about?

Kids love movies! But there’s so much more we can learn from them—and that’s what New Life Kids At the Movies is all about. We’ll watch scenes from favorite kids movies during church, and Pastor Darci Wilson will use them to teach us more about God, ourselves, and the life that’s possible for us with Jesus. Plus we’ll have candy, popcorn, drinks, and fun activities for the kids each week to learn more about Jesus!

New Life Kids

New Life Kids has a special, age-appropriate At the Movies experience just for kids! Kindergarten-6th graders sing songs, play games, and learn truths from the Bible through their favorite movies.

We'll watch scenes from powerful movies during church, and Pastor Mike Wilson will use them to teach us more about God, ourselves, and the life that's possible for us. Plus we will be serving up the best snacks, and creating photo ops and other fun for your family!
