Becoming: Living the Way of Jesus with the People of God
What would your life look like if there were no limits on who you could become?
In the final message of our Becoming series, Pastor CJ Ward challenges us to imagine the kind of person God is forming us into — someone transformed by grace, freed from the past, and living as an ambassador of heaven on earth.
From 2 Corinthians 5, we’re reminded that in Christ, “the old has gone, the new is here.” Yet, so many of us live like we’re still on the street when God has invited us to the table. We settle for “10% better” instead of truly becoming new.
This message calls us to:
Let go of the worldly point of view — stop judging our future by our past.
Believe we are a new creation — fully forgiven and transformed through Christ.
Reclaim our imagination — to hope, trust, and work toward the person God is shaping us to be.
Take our seat at the table — living out our calling in whatever role God’s given us.
Represent heaven in every space — as parents, teachers, workers, and neighbors.
We are Christ’s ambassadors, carrying His message of reconciliation wherever we go. God is making His appeal through us.
