Why All In Too?

In 2020, NewLifers came together to build an addition to our building to solve some space, logistical, and fire code issues. That project added over 5,000 square feet of usable space (primarily in our children’s areas). It also added an elevator, a new fair trade shop, a large indoor playground, and much more.

Unfortunately, we broke ground for the All in project the week before the government asked us to close our doors because of COVID-19. The pandemic caused tremendous complications, and material costs skyrocketed. But we persevered and completed the project. We had to cut out some portions of the original plan midway through construction to make it happen, but due to the hard work of some great contractors, thousands of volunteer hours, and above-and-beyond generosity, New Life has had the facilities it has needed to grow to the size we dreamed of reaching. The problem is, now that we have grown to the size that the All In project was intended to allow us to grow to, we are feeling the pain of space issues in the areas that we had to remove from the plan due to financial constraints during construction.

The original All In project included a complete remodel of the west wing of the main level of our building, a much larger north addition that would have provided more classroom space on the northside of our kids’ lobby, and a large monument sign out by the highway. The plan is to show that we are still All In by going back in to complete the project. We’re calling this second phase of the project All In Too.

Will you join us in going all in again?

The Ask:

1. Pray

God is doing something miraculous in our congregation and in our state that is causing New Life to grow at a rate we’ve never seen before. Pray that NewLifers will continue to step up in faith. Pray that God will continue to draw new people to New Life. Pray for the leaders who are overseeing this project and the workers who will build it. This is God’s church. We follow Him, and if the Holy Spirit brings people to His church, we want to make sure there is room for them.

We’re not doing a fundraiser for this project. Instead, we’re asking NewLifers to take a sacrificial step up to increase their giving to New Life. If you don’t currently have a habit of giving to New Life, will you set up a recurring donation today? If you currently give to New Life, will you pray about increasing your recurring donation?

What's being added?

West Wing Remodel

We are remodeling the west wing of the main level of our building to provide a space for youth to meet during our services. This is the area we currently call the Life Group rooms on the opposite side of the building from the auditorium. This space will be optimized for youth gatherings while still meeting the needs of our Life Groups ministry. This space will have an open main room for large group gatherings and three large classrooms for Life Groups. This portion of the project will also bring our building up to fire codes. The original All In project was supposed to bring us up to code, but because we cut this portion out of the project, we never actually got there.

Fifth and Sixth Grade Room

We are adding a large, flexible classroom on the north side of our kids’ lobby for our fifth and sixth graders. We’ll accomplish this by finishing a large space that is currently used for storage. Our sixth graders currently meet in The Loft above the lobby. That space is small, and its separation from our other kids’ areas causes confusion. Moving fifth graders from the elementary wing to this new space will give us an extra room for elementary students and will allow us to have the option to move Kindergarteners to the elementary side of the building creating space for more early childhood kids. In order to create this room, we are moving the contents of this storage room to a new storage room that we are adding onto the lower level of the northeast side of our building.
